Ud

Sometimes, you just make your own take on a simple sans serif. I decided to just make a rounded one... wait what's this. Oh dammit, my pen is overflowing ink!

Well, it's too late now, I'm just going to leave the drooping overbleed of ink on it. Let gravity have its say on the font as well. That way, it will have a way to sepparate itself from the rounded-sans-serif-minimalist-thin-font crowd.

And i'm just going to call it "wet". Wait, that's a bit too generic. I know, i'll just call it "wet", but in Romanian. So, "Ud" it will be, then!

Feedback always welcome of course.

CyberGothic

Kaboom! New Font, based on some calligraphic principles, in spite of it being so heavily geometric.

I worked on this for quite a while, I hope you guys like it! This is the first of a 3 piece set of Fonts which I am selling on Fontspring.com. Works very well as a display, take it for a spin on this link (you can demo it there!) or wait until the demo is out on DaFont.

Interested?

I have also written a lengthier description about it on my blog. Feel free to drop by and leave feedback if you so wish!

Darkwoman (free)

So this is the most successful free font of a series of 3 fonts I made last year for my examination/academy exhibition. It is the handwriting of one of my teachers, and i set it with many ligatures (in the .otf format).

It got almost 100 000 downloads on Dafont in the meantime.

Feel free to download it and use it as you see fit! I would appreciate a small donation for my trouble. If you don't want to or cannot donate, that's also OK, no pressure!

Enjoy and create awesome things with it!

I will make a collection of submitted uses of my fonts on my blog some day, so if you want, you can send me links to your works and eventually, I will publish them and credit your work back to you (via link or however you would like to). So mail me via contact if you want to be mentioned in the collection of uses of this font.

A free handwritten font, with ligatures in the .otf version, free for all uses!

tudy1311 (free)

Want to write in my handwriting? Well here is the font of it! It has a few ligatures when it comes to double letters, so it doesn't look "artificial" when you for example write something like "uncaNNy".

It's free to download of course, as part of the thi, darkwoman and tudy1311 handwriting font trio.

I would appreciate a donation, but it's no problem, if you're not in the mood for it.

My own free handwriting font for download! :D

Thi (free)

This is the free handwriting font made from the handwriting style of my academy colleague, Thi.

It's very clean looking in comparison to tudy1311 and Darkwoman, and it looks like a nerdy writing in comparison. But that's quite the whole point of this font.

It, too, has a set of .otf "ligatures", where double letters look different (look at the "technicaLLy" in the example shown in the picture on the right.)

Dacian Donarium (free)

And this is my little omen to my Romanian heritage - a font inspired by an archaeological finding from the 4th century: The Donarium of Biertan. It was made by a Dacian metallurgist, called Zenobius/Zenovius. The little logo underneath is actually a symbol of christianity. So, this little present from Zenobius proves two major things:

1) Dacians - the ancestors of Romanians - kept speaking Latin, at least partially, even after the Romans retreated from their lands in year 271.

2) Dacians were at this point still quite christian.

The resulting font is quite very unique in shape and "mistakes" as it describes a very old derivative of Roman letters, combined with a very specific local culture that remained highly unexplored due to a major lack of historical sources.

I will eventually create a second version of it, with the over- and underlines, to make it look even more "metallurgic".
